ar X iv : h ep - p h / 04 12 14 0 v 1 1 0 D ec 2 00 4 Charm meson resonances in D → P l ν decays

Motivated by recent experimental results we reconsider semileptonic D → P ℓν ℓ decays within a model which combines heavy quark symmetry and properties of the chiral Lagrangian. We include all observed charm meson resonances in our Lagrangian and determine their impact on the charm meson semileptonic form factor F+. We find that the inclusion of recently discovered charm resonances in the model leads to a rather good agreement with the experimental results on the q 2 shape of the F+(q 2) form factor. We also calculate branching ratios for all D → P ℓν ℓ decays.
